Overview

Vesreen holdings is an empire made up of planets with a majority Coathal populace which elect representatives to a Senate which oversees law, governance, the military and expansion. What several generations ago were competing planets and factions have now become a growing empire.

Galactic History

The formative years of the Vesreen Holdings were rough and filled with infighting. What once had been disorganized independent planets and colonies with vastly different laws, cultures and populations found themselves threatened by the intergalactic discovery of other races. While no outright war was on the horizon, it was clear that a more concerted, unified Coathal galactic presence was required. Standardization of election process' and laws took time and were not always without error but as of now the Vesreen Holdings planets and colonies have created a bed of economic growth and trade.

Demographics

While the Vesreens planets are mostly populated with Coathal due to their mountainous and subterranean nature as the case may be, their orbital and space stations are home to diverse trade networks of many species from across the galaxy. The Vesreen has several major planets as well as smaller colonies and space stations its citizens are spread out amongst.

Politics

Every planet, colony and space station within the Vesreen Holdings is represented with a number of seats within the Vesreen Senate that varies based off population numbers of the voters. The senates is role is to vote itself on policy changes along with budgets and foreign policies.

All corporations that are registered and operating within their borders must employ an in-company office of Vesreen government employees for the purpose of monitoring.

Military

Vesreen Holdings maintains a small fleet however its terrestrial military is larger for defensive purposes, as the terrain of their planets tends to favor ground defense rather than orbital battles. Vesreen Holdings has a government conscription policy that requires young citizens to preform 2 years of work in either the military or in a government bureaucratic positions meaning it has a ready supply of volunteers should the need ever arise.
