Overview 

The Anahi are a humanoid species that bear a similar appearance to Humans. Anahi are a nomadic people, whose lives are centered around a gargantuan, roaming fleet known as the Roving Sun.

Anahi can be identified by their smokey, dark skin colors, a trait acquired from their original homeworld. A blistering, hot desert world with sparse oceans and the occasional patch of lush forest, the Anahi developed a dark, brooding appearance from settling in the dark depths of their world.

History 

Several generations ago, the Anahi homeworld was struck by catastrophic tectonic activity as a result of their system's star increasing mass via burnout, leading to an unstoppable chain reaction of continents tearing apart, supervolcanoes erupting, and deep fissures ripping across Anahi cities, cracking the planet open and rendering life impossible.

While already a spacefaring species, the loss of the Anahi ancestral home was great, and the species infrastructure was sundered, resulting in the loss of nearly all known colonies as the lack of resources and communications (and among that, grief) resulted in a cataclysmic implosion of Anahi influence.

The best, remaining minds of the Anahi species deliberated on a solution to restore their species, eventually coming to the decision to "handcraft" a new home for their kind, resulting in a nearly century-long mobilization effort of pooling every remaining resource store, spacecraft, and specialist to push out and find a new home.

Now, the Anahi are adrift in the unforgiving vastness of the galaxy, with no world to call their own. For many, their home is simple the void.

Appearance

Anahi are physically similar to Humans but are, on average, taller than Humans. Tall and lithe, Anahi can be easily identified by their smokey skin colors, thin complexions, and pointed ears.

Eye colors can range wildly from deep, vibrant blues to colorful violets.

Galactic Opinion

The Anahi were once seen as a proud and elegant race, with the shady glens and complex caverns of their homeworld lauded as a paradise. However, with the loss of their homeworld and their species left floating in the stars, the image of Anahi was warped over the many, many years. Many view the Anahi as hapless drifters with extreme materialistic traits, using any sort of tactic to benefit their species, honorable or not.

Stereotyped as thieves and deceivers, the Anahi have cold relations with the other species, with the other empires viewing the Anahi has a self-centered race, superior both physically and mentally to the other species. While mainly gossip, one will find the Anahi to be a pleasant and welcoming species... should they not want anything you might have.

Anahis should have dark skin tones, either black, grey, dark blue, or dark brown. They should stand full bodied and slightly taller than an average human. They have pointed ears and can have unnatural eye colors. Use of human heads that have the correct skin tones such as the Catwa or Utilizator heads is acceptable.
