Overview

Primarily a surface-based organization, the Striders consist of a motley collection of disenfranchised workers, outlaws, and exiles. Dusklight authorities describe the Striders as a "mafia on motorcycles", a description that is not far from the truth.

The Striders can be attributed to the major cause of high-level crime both on Onia and Dusklight, especially red-collar and blue-collar crime. While not an outright murderous organization, the Striders are not above using violence for their own financial benefit.

Lacking the high-tech tools on offer to the more established factions (especially the DLSD), the Striders make up this weakness is deeply-embedded contacts, flexibility, and off-the-grid low-tech equipment that allows for an extreme amount of subtlety for their work.

Operations

Every manner of high-level crime is conducted by the Striders, with grand theft, smuggling, narcotic production, and gunrunning as notable activities. However, murder and other extreme crimes are frowned upon within the MC.

Operations are carried out both on the surface and the colony itself, often with meticulous planning to prevent any sort of reaction from Dusklight authorities.

Roles

President

The de facto head of the MC. In charge of the groups overall operation, the President masterminds some of the more larger plots for the good of the chapter, while also acting as something akin to a "Godfather" similar to most mafias. The President is often in constant contact with other factions, functioning as the primary diplomat for MC relations.

Table

Sometimes called the "goons", the Table is a council-like position that operates under the President, providing advice and delegation of other duties to the soldiers and prospects. Such positions included in the Table is the sergeant-at-arms, the lawspeaker, and road captains. Positions on the Table are often added or subtracted depending on the MC's current situation or plot.

Sergeant-at-Arms

Akin to a lieutenant in military terms, the Sergeant-at-Arms holds power over the "grunts" of the MC, these being captains, soldiers, and prospects. The Sgt-at-Arms is usually the frontline decision-maker during operations and can be found guarding the MC's property, directing patrols, and ensuring that all members follow Strider club laws.

Lawspeaker

The Lawspeaker is a unique role within the MC and holds hierarchy alongside the Sergeant-at-Arms but does not command the lower ranks of the MC. The Lawspeaker is, typically, a non-combatant who is placed into the cutthroat role of freeing captured members or other personnel from factions or, especially, the Dusklight Sheriffs. Lawspeakers are known for their silvertongued persuasion skills and penchant for turning many deals to the favor of the MC.

Road Captains

Captains, also known as Officers, are low-level commanders whose primary duties consist of corralling soldiers and prospects, providing repairs for their war parties, defending MC property, and assisting their fellow members in combat. The number of Road Captains fluctuate with member count.

Soldiers

Full-fledged, patched members of the Striders, soldiers act as the very backbone of the organization, laying groundwork for future operations or serving as the muscle of war parties. Soldiers defend the property and members of the MC, maintain reputation of the MC, and provide repairs of vehicles.

Prospects

The Prospects are non-patched members of the Striders who are typically on a probationary period to judge whether they can provide their skills to the club.
